Tata Motors has become the first Indian automobile maker to deliver more than 700 EVs in a single day. Gudi was distributed in Maharashtra and Goa on the occasion of Padwa. Tata Motors crossed another benchmark earlier this month after reporting more than 3,000 EV sales a month. The figure of 712 deliveries in a single day is bound to push Tata Motor’s EV sales numbers further in April. Tata Motors new electric SUV
Tata will launch a new electric SUV concept on Wednesday. The company has sent out invitations for an event at 12 PM. Tata has kept things secret for the new electric car. The latest teaser shows the future-happiness silhouette of a car. The company has also released a new teaser video of the car. Earlier, we expected the company to introduce Nexon EV long range with 40kW battery. It has been tested several times.
Currently, the Nexon EV has an ARAI certified range of 312km on a single charge. It gets a 129 PS permanent-magnet AC motor, powered by a 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The market share of the existing model is 63.62%. The car battery pack is dust and waterproof, which meets the IP67 standard. It offers 35 mobile app based connectivity features.
The Tigor EV gets an ARAI certified range of 306km, and comes with a 26-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It produces a maximum power of 55 kW and a maximum torque of 170 Nm. Tata claims that it accelerates from 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. The Tigor EV comes with an 8 year and 1,60,000km battery and motor warranty.
