The Atlanta Hawks have enjoyed the comfort of home in their last two games, but now they must be out on the road. They will take a few days off and play the Toronto Raptors at the Scotiabank Arena on Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Toronto needs to be wary as the Hawks have now posted big points total in their last five contests.
Atlanta were able to beat the Brooklyn Nets 122-115 this past Saturday. It was another big night for Atlanta point guard Trey Young, who dropped double-double on 36 points and ten assists in addition to six boards. Young’s Knight made it three games in a row so he scored at least 30 points.
Toronto, meanwhile, were within significant distance but could not close the gap on Sunday as they fell 114-109 to the Miami Heat. Despite the loss, Toronto had a strong showing by power forward Pascal Siakam, who had five assists with 29 points and eight rebounds, and point guard Fred Vanvalit, who had 29 points and seven assists. This makes it four games in a row where Vanvilit has stolen at least three.
It is expected to lose the next of the Hawks 4.5. They are currently five for five in contrast to the spread in their recent game, however, a trend the Betters may want to consider.
At the previous meeting of the teams in February, everything went like the Atlanta against the Raptors when they won 127-100. The rematch could be a little difficult for Atlanta as the team will not have a home-court facility. We’ll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
