The average salary of the NBA has skyrocketed in the last decade, let alone in the last 30 years.
For proof, consider that in 1990-91, the highest paid player in the NBA, Patrick Ewing, Earned 4.3 million. The highest paid player of the current season Stephen CurryBy $ 45.8 million.
The average salary of the highest and lowest paid players in the league has also increased, although nowhere near the same amount. This is largely because more people are playing in the NBA in recent years due to the G-League call-up and bilateral agreements, which gives us more players with lower salaries.
