Jema Atkinson caught in chaos at Manchester Airport as he was returning from vacation

Jema Atkinson was caught up in the chaos at Manchester Airport on Wednesday as she embarked on her first family vacation in Tenerife with her fiance Gorkha Marquez and their two daughters Mia.

The actress, 37, revealed how it took them two hours to get through the security and told her followers to “expect chaos” as she went to share a sweet clip of Mia on Instagram while they were waiting to pick up luggage.

This comes at a time when airports are struggling to cope with staff shortages as people go on vacation after the removal of the Covid ban.

Jemma captioned the video: “How we wasted time waiting for luggage at Manchester Airport last night. The airport staff was talented with us, but they had very few staff which made everything much slower.

“We arrived 4 hours before our flight and it took about 2 hours to go through security. Our flight was delayed by an hour because while we were boarding, some people on our flight were still waiting to go through security.

“When we got home we landed at 6.10 and it was 7.45 before the first luggage arrived. Again, the staff there were talented and you can see how stressful it was for them too.

“Easier said then I know when you’re going to be a knacker, but hopefully the situation will improve.”
