GOP senators continue to rant against Hunter Biden’s foreign deal, new release reveals

The two Republican senators released new documents detailing the financial ties between the Biden family and “corrupt actors” in Ukraine, Russia and China during a lengthy presentation from the floor of the upper chamber on Tuesday.

In their third speech on the subject since April 28, Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Sen. Ron Johnson of Wisconsin spent about half an hour following their September 2020 report on Hunter Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine as lawmakers continue to debate. Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

The senators’ allegations originally spanned the October 2020 issue of the New York Post’s exclusive report detailing how Hunter Biden used President Joe Biden’s political influence to make money as his father’s vice president and later abroad.

Grassley, 88, presented financial documents showing how a Chinese power firm transferred millions of dollars to companies owned by Hunter Biden and his uncle James Biden in 2017, closely related to its communist regime.

Senators Robert Biden and Gongwen Dong also showed a $ 99,000 credit card approval form signed by a Chinese communist ally who allegedly funded worldwide spending for Robert and Hunter that year.

Johnson, 66, created a timeline that showed how then-Vice President Joe Biden met with Hunter’s business partner at the White House, Devin Archer, two months after the 2014 revolution overthrew a corrupt government in Ukraine.

The senator said that five days later, the vice president visited Ukraine, and a day later, Archer, who was convicted of fraud in an unrelated case earlier this year, joined the board of energy company Burismar, the senator said.

Johnson details how British officials seized the company’s $ 23 million assets in a corruption probe that week and joined the Hurricane board a few weeks later for a মাসে 50,000 salary when his investment fund received $ 3.5 million from Elena Baturina, then Russia’s richest woman.

“The key is a coincidence,” Johnson said.

“It is interesting to see how important the involvement of Biden and the corrupt actors in Russia and Ukraine has been in just six months, just two months after the Ukraine Revolution,” he said.

“It simply came to our notice then that they wanted to cash in on the unrest in Ukraine.”

Neither President Biden nor his son have been charged with criminal wrongdoing, and both have denied the allegations. The FBI is investigating Hunter’s foreign business dealings with a 52-year-old tax evader.

Senators believe that Hunter Biden used his father’s political influence to make money abroad.

The senators said their research was corroborated in recent weeks by articles in the New York Times and the Washington Post that acknowledged the validity of the Post’s 2020 report, which was denounced by former intelligence officials as “Russian confusion.”

Johnson urged the media to pursue the matter “more strictly” and provided newspapers and television networks with a letter of questions that he thought they should ask the White House about their report.

They have accused the media and lawmakers across the isle of cracking down on allegations of impropriety from the Biden family ahead of the presidential election.

“Liberal media wanted to provide cover for then-candidate Joe Biden,” Grassley said.

“They did everything they could to tarnish our investigation.”

“We have not yet received any apology from our Democratic colleagues for their false claims against us over the past few years. They have not apologized to the American people and I am not going to hold my breath. “
