The Brooklyn Nets beat the New York Knicks on Wednesday and are set to take control of their own fortunes for Seed 7. The Nets have beaten the Cleveland Cavaliers, the current No. 7 seed, in a game and will play each other on Friday. If Brooklyn wins, the tiebreaker will also be protected.
Also earlier, the 2-seeded Boston Celtics reached the 50-win mark and survived in the rate column with No. 3 Milwaukee and No. 4 Philadelphia. The Celtics will play a box game on Thursday that will go a long way in overcoming this three-team logjam.
The rest of the way we will keep a close eye on the playoff race with daily updates. Below are the issues to enter the game on Thursday 7 April.

The Hit has a magic number with three games lead against Boston and Milwaukee and three games to play. The No. 6 Sixers can’t pass Miami, which has sealed that tiebreaker with a division winner or a good conference record.
- Projected seeds: 1
- Current first round matchup: TBD (play-in results)
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 2 Boston: The Celtics won 2-1 with a head-to-head advantage
- Tiebreaker vs. Milwaukee 3: Hit currently owns through Conference Records (Season Series 2-2, both teams in the lead division)
The Celtics lost to Chicago on Wednesday for their 50th win of the year. The Celtics have to win their last two games and Miami have to lose their last two games to Boston. The Celtics are in a three-way tie with No. 3 box and No. 4 six in the loss column.
If it ends in a three-way tie, Milwaukee will currently lead with a combined 4-2 record against the Celtics and Sixers. Boston will drop to No. 3 with a 4-3 record against the Box and the Sixers, and the Sixers will finish at No. 4 with a 3-4 record against the Box and the Celtics.
But, Milwaukee and Boston still have one game left on Thursday, so it will definitely affect these records. So stay tuned.
- Projected seeds: 2
- Current first round matchup: Cavs vs. Net Play-In Winner
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 1 Miami: The Celtics won by 2-0 head-to-head with one match remaining
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 2 Milwaukee: With one match left, Celtics are 2-1 up in the season series
- Tiebreaker v 4 Philadelphia: The Celtics currently hold even better Atlantic Division records (head to head tie 2-2).
- Tiebreaker vs. Toronto No. 5: Boston currently owns as the leader of the Atlantic Division
With three games, the box is tied with the No. 2 Celtics and No. 4 Sixers in the Loss column; They still have a game vs. Boston game left that could seal the tiebreaker for Boston.
If it ends a three-way tie between the Boxes, the Celtics and the Sixers, Milwaukee will now lead the Celtics and the Sixers with a combined 4-2 record. Boston will drop to No. 3 with a 4-3 record against the Box and the Sixers, and the Sixers will finish at No. 4 with a 3-4 record against the Box and the Celtics. But as mentioned above, Milwaukee and Boston still have one game left on Thursday, so it will definitely affect these records. So stay tuned.
- Projected seeds: 3
- Current first round matchup: Bull
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 1 Miami: Miami is currently owned by Conference Records (Season Series 2-2, with both teams leading the division).

- Tiebreaker v 4 Philadelphia: Box 2-1 has clinched through the head-to-head facility
- Tiebreaker vs. Toronto No. 5: Raptors have been clinched through 3-0 head-to-head facilities
The sixes are tied to the Celtic No. 2 and Box No. 3 in the loss column. If there is a three-way tie between the Celtics, the Boxes and the Sixers, the Sixers will end up as No. 4 seed no matter which game they win between Milwaukee and Boston on Thursday because they are only 3-4 against them. The two teams, and the three teams involved in Boston and Milwaukee, can’t get below the winning percentage.
If the Sixers and Celtics finish the tie, as they are both tied in the Atlantic Division and Season Series 2-2, the next tiebreaker will be the division record, which Boston won (9-7 vs. 6-9 Philly).
- Projected seeds: 4
- Current first round matchup: Raptors
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 1 Miami: Miami is currently owned by Conference Records (season series 2-2 tie, with both teams leading the division).

- Tiebreaker vs. Milwaukee 3: Raptors have been clinched through 3-0 head-to-head facilities

One of those games is against the Nets on Friday, who will pass Cleveland with a head-to-head win that will also seal the tiebreaker for Brooklyn. Atlanta also owns the tiebreaker against Cleveland. Cavra cannot rise to the top six.
- Projected seeds: 8
- Current first round matchup: Fake
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 6 Brooklyn: With one match left, the net season series is 2-1 ahead
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 9 Atlanta: The Hawks clinched through a 3-1 head-to-head advantage
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 10 Charlotte: Cleveland is currently owned by Conference Records (season series 2-2 tie).
8. Brooklyn Net

Brooklyn is a No. 7 back to Cleveland, which will play on Friday, if they win that game, they will seal the tiebreaker on Cleveland, meaning the net for Seed No. 7 will control their own fate.
- Projected seeds: 7
- Current play-in matchup: Hornets
- Tiebreaker vs. Cleveland No. 6: With one match left, the net season series is 2-1 ahead
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 9 Atlanta: The net has clinched through a 2-1 head-to-head advantage
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 10 Charlotte: Hornet clinched through the 2-1 head-to-head advantage
The Hawks defeated the Wizards on Wednesday and tied the No. 8 net (owner of the Brooklyn tiebreaker). Each team has two matches left. The Hawks lead the Hornets to No. 10 in a game and currently own the tiebreaker with a percentage of conference wins, but this is far from a decision (each team has lost 25 conferences at the moment; Charlotte has three Eastern Conference games left and the Hawks have one).
- Projected seeds: 9
- Current play-in matchup: Cavs
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 6 Brooklyn: The net has clinched through a 2-1 head-to-head advantage
- Tiebreaker vs. No. 10 Charlotte: Atlanta currently owns through the conference win percentage
The Hornet is a back of the No. 9 Hawk and No. 8 mesh. Charlotte won the tiebreaker over Brooklyn and can still win the tiebreaker over Atlanta through the conference record (each team has lost 25 conferences at the moment; Charlotte has three Eastern Conference games left and the Hawks have two).
